I started my journey of yoga over 20 years ago in university, initially as a way to balance out my other physical pursuits. Ten years ago I started practicing hot yoga and started a new yoga journey of self-study to better understand the connection between my body, mind and breath.
Professionally I spend a lot of time in my head thinking and processing, and my yoga practice has provided me with a daily sanctuary where breath and peace take me out of my head and into my heart and body. I love all forms of yoga and the gifts they each bring to my life.
I completed my 200 YTT Vinyasa Flow and Yin training in the summer of 2021 and am so excited to share my passion for yoga with others. When I am not at the yoga studio or working at my day job, I can be found with my family or dog exploring the beautiful Comox Valley outdoors or in the kitchen baking and cooking something delicious to share with others.
May the qualities that we strive for on the mat, things like honesty, integrity, authenticity and compassion follow us off the mat and weave themselves into the very fabric of our own lives each and every day.
