I took my first Bikram Yoga class in 2006 and it was nothing short of an experience. No one is ever ready for the heat, but I hadn’t paid attention to the length of the class. I clearly remember looking at the clock at the 60 min mark and thinking to myself, “Will she ever stop talking? If she goes on any longer, I’m pretty sure I’m going to DIE!” 40 mins later as I walked out into the rain, I realized I was far from dying. In fact I felt better than I had in a really long time.
As a Massage Therapist, I started incorporating the class in my treatment plans with my clients. This yoga was going to help all my patients. I told my patients to take the class, I told them and still tell them if they start practicing Bikram Yoga, I just might find myself out of a massage job. Bikram yoga is designed for everyBODY, no matter what shape or size, old or young your body and mind will feel the many benefits.
I have been teaching Bikram Yoga since 2008 and it is one of the best parts of my life. I learn more and more each class I teach. Every student who enters the studio brings a new and exciting dynamic.
So what are you waiting for? 90 minutes in the hot room and your life is going to change for the better, I promise!
